OVERVIEW:
This event is a training exercise for the Kokoda Challenge to be held on 17-18 July 2010. It is being conducted on sections 5 and 6 of the Kokoda Challenge course.

Numinbah Valley School of Arts Hall, Nerang-Murwillimbah Road, Numinbah, Qld.
Distance:
29km (approximately).
Course:
From Numinbah township, north to the Numinbah Environmental Centre thence generally east past Page's Pinnacle to Polly's Kitchen on the Mudgeeraba-Springbrook Road thence return. On the return journey the route from the Numinbah Environmental Centre is along the Waterfall Creek track to Numinbah. Maps can be downloaded as below.

Map 2 Numinbah Environmental Centre to turnaround point on Mudgeeraba-Springbrook Road.
The course will be marked.

Water and food:
It will be necessary to carry water of sufficient quantity to last from the start to the turnaround point at Polly's kitchen where supplies can be replenished. Participants are encouraged to use a bladder system of at least 2 litres capacity. Participants should also carry ample supplies of high energy replacement food and a basic first aid kit in case of abrasions. The course is rough and quite hilly.
BBQ:
A BBQ and cold drink will be available at the Numinbah Valley School of Arts Hall at the conclusion of the event.
Cost:
$40 including BBQ and a cold drink.
Entry Categories:
The Mini Kokoda allows people to enter as individuals, or teams of one, two, three and four.
In 2010 there is also a Fundraising Category which qualifies teams of four looking to obtain a spot in the 2010 Kokoda Challenge.
