Victory Sports was born out of necessity, I wanted to make a living out of sport but lacked the required talent or ability. Back in the heady days of prizemoney being paid down to 15th place in the Gold Coast Marathon, I ran a PB and finished in 16th place, happy but prudent enough to know there would be no living on prizemoney (I did win some prizemoney the following year but alas the race was in financial difficulities and that cheque is still in the mail).
The Vision was our own shop where runners could and would come for the best running shoes and gear with the bonus of authentic running-related advice.
Motivation came in the form of a medical diagnosis (colon cancer). I figured if I could stay alive everything else would be easy
The Reality is that partnering with a company like Nike has been the key to success.
